Encoder actual speed measuring via DP820 between 2 motor encoders
Hello,
We have a system here with positioning between 2 encoders mounted on 2 motors. These encoders are linked to RMIO's for drives and also DP820 for pulses.
Is it possible to get an actual encoder speed out of the DP820 ? I know via DriveWindow something is possible with the RMIO's but if this is possible with DP820 we can maybe get values in the Monitoring System for logging.
Frequency value ch 1 RealIO
Frequency value ch 2 RealIO
These are not 'active' in our system, is this possible for what i seek ?

Hi,
I think that should be possible, but how you will connect the encoder in parallel both to the drive and DP820?
Do you receive already some values from the encoder in DP820? Look in Online mode.
In case yes, and that is frequency, you have to use a simple calculation in order to convert from frequency to speed.
The other simple solution is to read the Actual Speed directly from the drive, in case the encoder is already connected to the drive.
