CNCP time Sync not working- SetDT causing time drift
Hi SIr, I would like to ask for your experise for below case: I have 1 redundant controller, 1 redundant server, 3 clients. System is 5.1 Rev D
I am using CNCP method for time syncing my controller. For this, I have done the settings as shown in screen shot attached.
I have also installed Time Adaptor while installing 800xA. Manually disabled the windows time service in all clients & done the done admin settings as shown in screenshot.
Issue what I am facing is I am initially able to sync the time i.e. my windows time, controller time (tools->maintenance-> time sync -> set time) & time seen in SetDT block, all matches with each other.
However after 1 day my windows time & controller time will match but setDT time goes ahead by 2 secs. after 2 days it goes ahead by 20-25secs.
Issue is events , alarm generated are taking controller time, but however Trends are taking setDT time.
Each time when I manually sync setDT with controller time, next day again I can see the time drift.
Hope you will be able to suggest me something to solve this issue. I want to bring all the times in a network to 1 platform which can be either controller time or setDT time.
Please suggest something that can be done.
Thanks

The Server running setting has been disabled...
... and as per my previous response, the AfwTime service must be in service state where the time adapter is installed)
