Function Block SECRSYN1 availability in REF615...
Hi. We're working on a project which is using several REF615 IED's. We are trying to implement energization and synchronism check functionality in all of our IEDs.
We have the IEDs connected to PCM600. For certain relays, the function block SECRSYN1 is available in the Insert Function Block drop-down list. For other relays, the function block is not in the list.
The only significant difference noticed between the two IEDs is the firmware revision. The IED with the desired functionality is firmware version 5.0.2 whereas the other IED is version 4.1.
Is the availability of SECRSYN1 dependent on the firmware? Can we obtain the necessary firmware to install this functionality?
If this function block is not dependent on the firmware revision; can you advise on where to locate this function in the PCM600 software; or what actions are necessary to gain this functionality?
Thank you sincerely for your time.
Sincerely,
David

Availability of synchronism and energizing check depends on the selected standard configuration of REF615. Based on REF615 4.0 FP1 Product Guide ( https://library.e.abb.com/public/d122...) Table 2 on page 6, it looks like that the SECRSYN1 is available in standard configurations H and J.
Could you first check if your relay's OrderCode 4th letter is H or J? If it isn't, then you need a different variant of REF615 to enable synchronism and energizing check.
