Melody IO:s and AC800m
Hello
We have a Melody system with IOs, CAI20, CAO10, CBI20 and CBO22.
We are considering replacing the controller with AC800 and using the Compact Control Builder to program it.
Is it possible to use these IOs and AC800?

Everything is possible.... However, how are you going to connect the controller to the IO rack? Isn't Melody IO in a rack with the controller? Not sure how that would work. In my Compact Control Builder I can't find a HW library for Melody.
You can of cause use the old controller to read/write Melody IO and make them available via profibus or modbus, a bit like remote IO.
If you have a lot of IO this could be a way of reducing the HW and wiring cost. ABB might even have a tool to migrate the code to Control Builder...
