800xA - AC460 CPU FAILURE
Dear Experts,
I have an AC460 controller on a customer site that has
all the backup cpu modules in a "very" strange condition that is
"all" of the Primary CPUs are active (P1) and the controller is working, whilst all the Backup CPUs
are in "FAIL" and the error code "00" is shown.
"00" means "Debug trap in supervisory mode" that corrersponds to "Memory or bus error" .
Also, I do not have any Diagnostic Messages even though the MODeng display shows
the cpu status as "MISSING" .
I suppose it could depends on a "bus error" instead of a memory problem because it occurred
to all the cpus probably at the same time.
This controller has been in good shape since 2008 until now, but during the last week
the technical room had serious HVAC failure that raises the ambient temperature .
I would like to know your opinion regarding the best/safer way to recover this fault.
because I am not sure if I should better simply reset each cpu, or I had better to
withdraw and reseat each one.
This is so because I "really" would like to avoid any reboot
of primary and backup modules .
This is obviously the last option.
Thanks a lot for any suggestion.

AFAIK you have to reset secondary/backup controller which are showing "00". Otherwise replace if that didn't work.
Do take clearance from plant process and operators before removing backup controller.
Reset of controllers should work.
