abb 800xa installed on vmware
Dear All,
i had installed abb800xa v5.1 in vmware on a laptop and everything was fine. recently i moved vmware backup to my laptop and i changed mac address of previous laptop to my mac in license. But when i am going to create a new project it says library could not be found like basiclib, ci853lib and so on. i think my abb800xa in vmware still think is on previous laptop and i have to change or refresh something to get new address or maybe another problem . i appreciate your reply.

Your hardwire libarary files may be corrupted. Try replacing the 'Hardware' folder in ABBIndustrialIt/ContolBiulderM/. Replace it with a hardware folder from another system with the same Control Biulder version
I am not sure, you write about MAC address of laptop or internal MAC address of VM?
Typical issue with moving VM ware 800xA to other PC is about to changing internal MAC address by VM ware (you should click your VM was moved but not copied). If your licence is bound to MAC address, then you cant open project in Control builder or PG2 editor. Can you open PG2 editor ?
Usually 800xA license provider service does not accept changed MAC address inside VM ware.
Copy VM again and click VM was "moved" instead of "copied".
But if Control Builder is opening your project then missing license is not an issue.
Try to export corrupted libraries from original VM ware from Library structure and import into the moved system.

I've copied and moved complete 800xA systems by cloning VMware many times. It should work just fine.
Go back to the original working VM and make a new copy. Boot the new VM copy and set it to the original IP address. Check the copied 800xA system runs (ignore the license errors). Official recommendation is to get a new temp license for the new system, but changing the MAC address should also work if that is what your License uses.
