IEC61850 Time Stamp to GE RX3i RTU
Hi sir,
I am having ABB REF615 & RED615 IEDs in each of my station with GE RX3i RTU. I have downloaded the variables from IEDs to RTU (both Pos.stVal and Pos.t). Then in RTU I move the Pos.stVal to a register in RTU which finally reaches SCADA. My issue is that the timestamp of the signal does not match with IED timestamp. SCADA is showing the timestamp done at RTU when the signal reaches RTU. How can I make use of Pos.t and use it as the signal's timestamp.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Jyothis M

Please select your "expert" with care; IEC61850 is not in my area of expertise.

Please specify in which protocol you are converting from IEC61850.
2nd thing is in most of the cases it has been seen that, your RTU will act as a master for time stamping i.e. you will have the time stamping of the signals at the time when it reaches RTU.
You can have all the devices under one time master (GPS for time synchronization) to avoid such issue.

From 61850 i am converting to 104 protocol which reaches the scada servers. Both RTU and IEDs already time synced with the master clock of our organization. But still there is millisecond difference between timestamp of RTU and IED. Is it possible to take the 61850 timestamp value (pos.t) to RTU as the signal's timestamp.
