How can I trip ACS550 AND ACS580 on overcurrent fault?
In ABB acs550 if current reaches upto maximum current level the speed of the drive automatically start to decrease, but rather than decreasing the speed i want the drive to trip on overcurrent fault whenever it reaches maximum current level.
how can i do this in acs 550 and acs580 please help?

directly from the FW manual of ACS550 - about alarm 2001:
"Current limiting controller is active. Check for and correct:
• Excessive motor load.
• Insufficient acceleration time (parameters 2202 ACCELER TIME 1 and
2205 ACCELER TIME 2).
• Faulty motor, motor cables or connections."
To obtain your desired action, I have used in some cases the supervision function, setting the output relay when the desired limit is reached.
The same condition can be performed by ACS580
