Freelance 2016 SP1 - no connection - Control builder F and OPC Server - installed with trend server on same PC
Cannot download to th OPC server because the connection is lost after some time between CBF in "commissioning mode" and OPC server when running together with the Trend Server on an Engineering Combi PC.
This system is running on Windows 10. The other Freelance operations stations remain connected. The OPC server is then stopped manually and restarted then a download is possible however the connection is then lost again.
The following is found in the release notes but we not sure what it means?

Freelance Operations and Trendserver and/or OPC server on same PC
If the software packages Freelance Operations and Trend Server / OPC server are installed on the same PC, it must be at least one server configured without a separate user account. Otherwise, the communication between Freelance Engineering and Freelance Operations fails. The operator station can not be loaded and remains in "No connection" (#24958 - RN_20161_007).

The error number refers to cases where CBF cannot establish connection to Freelance Operations, not to OPC Servers. The text explains, that if you run FO and a Trendserver/OPC server on the same machine, the Trendserver/OPC Server should not run under a special user. When you configure an OPC server with the Settings program, you can specify its ID but also configure a special user (with the "Configure" button on that tab). That you should not do. Do not configure a user for the OPC server.
If you have OPC server and Trendserver running on the same PC with FE and FO, do not configure a seperate user for the OPC server or the Trendserver.
Not sure that this error is your problem, because in the observed cases FE does not get connection to FO, it is not a problem of connection between FE and the OPC server. Also the connection is never lost, in the sense it is there first, but later disappears. It simply never gets the connection.

Thanks for the prompt response. We will exclude this scenario in our case. We will now install Freelance 2016 SP RU03 to see if this issue is addressed. We suspect that this may be linked to the Windows 10 Pro installation?
