Data lost in pp845a
Hi Titus;
Im using in a industrial line two panels pp845a, one of them loose data once a day and not refresh itself. If I shutdown and then restart the panel or I disconnect/connect ethernet cable the problem dissapears and panel refresh data. Once a day I have to do it.
My question is, maybe the ethernet cable have problems and makes this failure, but if I simulate it disconnecting it and after connecting when line is running correctly, the panel refresh data itself without problems, that makes me think cable is ok. so the panel could be the problem.
what do you think about? Thank you so much.

Hi,
Of course, you have to check your ethernet cable and network components (switches) in the communication line by yourself to ensure they are working well.
If the network is OK, may be the described problem is in the panel/driver version. In case you made some changes in the project, and downloaded from the newer panel builder version than original.
Right click on the Project name (the upper level in project tree, and select "Properties". Then under "Operator terminal" you have the possibility to select the version of the panel (1.0, 2.0...). Then download the project with the selected version of the panel. If not sure, check that version from the other panel, which is working well.
It happens to me once - I have the old panel and downloaded with the latest version of the panel and driver from the newer version of the panel builder. It worked some time (1-2 days) and then frozen (need restart). I open the old project from the old panel builder version and download the project from there (hopefully keep the old Win2000 PC with such old version). The problem disappeared - it seems the newer versions of the panel/drivers sometimes are not fully compatible the old panels from the first generation.
