ACS 800 2330 FAULT
Hello. We are struggling with 2330 fault on an ACS 800 drive. Checked motor and lines detached from drive and they were OK. OEM technician tested drive, found rectifier section bad. Drive was sent to repair. It's back and was installed, but the same alarm remains. What else could we do?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hi,
The first question that appears to me is, if the drive is fully repaired and tested after that.
Did you tried to switch on the power supply to the drive (not start the drive) without anything, connected to the output terminals of it?
Also, you can try to power on and start the drive without load in scalar mode. Then you can see if the fault is in the drive or outside.
Usually you should use the authorised service repair, if there is a faulty elements and that fault message appear.

Hi
when the drive detects the fault 2330, if we follow the manual we should check the cable and the motor, according to the FW manual:
Drive has detected load unbalance typically due to earth fault in motor or motor cable.
The suggestion is correct but we often forget about other components connected to the network:
Check there are no power factor correction capacitors or surge absorbers in motor cable. Check that there is no earth fault in motor or motor cables:
- measure insulation resistances of motor and
motor cable. If no earth fault can be detected, contact your
local ABB representative.
However, the final advice should not be underestimated. Who did you repair the drive from? At the end of a repair, according to the good rule, checks and tests should be carried out to verify that the outcome of the repair is effective. A guarantee should in these cases be issued by the person making the repair...
If this guarantee does not exist, I suggest you ask the ABB Service to take care of it, they are technicians with great professionalism and experience and all the tools to check your drive even after the repair.
Last but not least, try the good suggestion of Kstoilov
Hope this help you
