System Alarms-OPC Server
Hi
During Online upgrade of 800xA System 5.1.1-4 Rev E we got following alarm types. _SWFirmware, _SWAlarmandEvent were generated.
But the AE Class obtained is 9950 even though the Controller AE Class is 9952. Could you explain?

Hi!
You can find more info on the 800xA generated system alarms in this Excel doc:
"3BSE087855_A_en_System_800xA_6.0_-_System_Alarm_Messages"
Observe these are "System Alarms" or "System Simple Events".
Depending on the corresponding "Message", you can find additional information and a possible root cause.
Control AC800M Configuration Manual states:
"The default class is 9950 for all system alarms and system events...The default value can be changed by changing the CPU setting AE System AE Class."
However during Online Upgrade with redundant controllers, this procedure removes application from controllers and loads new firmware, one at a time. This could be a possible cause for having "default" system alarms.
