IM History server can access the real time data form Harmony OPC server instead of 800xA connectivity server ?
Is it possible that IM History server can access the real time data form Harmony OPC server instead of 800xA server (Connectivity/Aspect)?
If possible then, is it feasible to install IM and HOPC on same server machine (Dell Power Edge R710 with window server 2008 R2 Std 64 bit). Harmony OPC will interface with Control network via CIU800 ( SPNIS21+ IET800) for gathering real-time data for history purpose ? Please refer the attached cloud mark-up diagramAnswers
The simple answer is no, however, maybe some further explanation would help. The IM node is part of the 800xA System, and as such is fed by OPC data that has been moved into the 800xA system via OPC connections and through Log Configuration Aspects, pointing to first the Basic History Log, (Direct Log), which then feeds the corresponding IM History Log. This is the only method to attach an IM History Log to an OPC data point. All OPC points from the Harmony system will be entered into the 800xA system through the 800xA Harmony Connect node, (which is a Connectivity Server). This data represents the Real-time data from the Harmony servers. There is no method to attach the IM History Logs to data points outside the 800xA system other than through the Basic History Log connection, which is the direct connection to the OPC data from any outside OPC data source such as Harmony. I hope that this answers your question.
