OPC DATA LINK EXCHANG LIMITATION
Do you know the limitation of the number of communication exchanges between 2 OPC Server using OPC DataLink?
Answers
Version 1.1 of Datalink talked about:
'Supports data transfer at a steady rate of 500 points per second between one or more OPC DA servers, providing that the specifications for the OPC DA servers allow these limits.'
...
Supports load sharing between a primary and backup server (if the total maximum load is 400 points per second for one server, then you would configure half that for load sharing, or 200 points per second per server, to allow for the total load being switched to one server).
The later manual I have version 2.1 doesn't contain this detail but I assume its still valid.
