Installing Process Portal B 2.0 on Windows Server 2003 - Navigator Stuck
We are trying to install Process Portal B2.0 SP2 on a Server 2003 machines. We are currently setting up the configuration server. We started up Navigator to check if the software is installed correctly, but the Navigator does not start up completely. Instead, it is stuck with a "Waiting for database initialization..." message. Have we missed a step somewhere? Where should we check to fix the issue? Thank you.

This is difficult to answer as there could be many reasons for this to happen: Database replication has not succeeded: Incorrect Security, SQL server issues, IIS security....Please read through ALL the PPB instruction manuals, so you understand what is needed and happening behind the scenes. PPB relies on many Techs (MS OS, IIS, SQL Server, DCOM, OPC etc). Also note: Please have the latest SP's on hand as well and read all the release notes associated with them.

In the Version B2.0 Installation manual, the "Install .NET Framework 1.1" part of Section 2 "Third Party Software" says "Do not install this on Windows Server 2003 OSs." So, we didn't run the installer included on the disk.
According to the registry, the installed version is v1.1.4322 with no SP. When I try to run the installer included on the PPB disk, I get a message saying that "The product you are trying to install has already been installed with your operating system. Use Windows Update to install the latest updates."
Going to see if I can uninstall/reinstall the .NET and try the PPB installation again.
