CI820 Switch-Over time
Hi,
What is the Typical and Maximum Switch -Over Time (in case of failure) between the Primary and Backup CI820 sw version 2.2/4 for AF100?
Thanks a lot

Hello
The CI switch over time is instantly in case of a failure.
You should not see any signal losses from the station.
And process data on cable 1 and cable 2 are muxed so the units are listening on both AF100 cables in parallel.
if data is missing on one cable due to disfurbance it will still be used from the other cable source

Hi,
according AF100 User manual, your case sounds like issue with Double timeout is not enabled in AF100 master com card (terminal EN_DTMO in AF100_# DB element / CI522 card).
See attached picture for details also about switchover time. Note switchover time depends on fastest CDP on the bus. CDP is any cyclic transmission like DSP or IO card scan time.
I hope it helps

If double CDP time out is not available for a station, the receiving cycle times can be
doubled compared to the sending cycle times. This ensures that the CDP does not
enter the time-out state.
