Different Alarmsounds in different sections in AC450
Hello
We have xA800, 6.03 with a number of AC450 / MP280.
We have had two alarm lists.
alarm list 2 has process section 2 with alarm sound 2.
alarm list 3 has process section 3 with alarm sound 3.
Now we want to change alarm list 2 (containing section 2) so that it also contains section 3 where section 2 = alarm sound 2 and section 3 = alarm sound 3.
In AC450 / MP280 different events are used, this means that in the new alarm list 2 there can be alarms from section 2 with priority level 1/2/3/4 and alarms from section 3 with priority level 1/2/3/4.
The alarm sound in the xA800 is determined in "Alarm Sound Configuration" and the sound is determined by which priority level the alarm has.
In the case above, signals from section 2 may have priority level = 4 and the same for signals from section 3 and thus the same sound.
I try to change in event230 as TESTSIGNAL uses and sets AL_PRIO = 5, I can now see that the color of the signal changes in the alarm list.
In "Alarm Sound Configuration" I define that priority level = 5 should use alarm sound 5.
In the alarm list I see that TESTSIGNAL alarmed and I look at "Event Details" I see that it remains with priority level = 4 and thus use alarm sounds 4.
I have restarted the workplace, used the MB300 uploader, etc.
Also changed in Alarm mapping ie set prioriy level 5 = severity 1 without results.
Can I only use 4 priority levels on AC450 / MP280 signals?

Hello Anders
I will try to explain.
There is a standard mapping between Event treat priority and 800xA priority in AC400 connect for 800xA, see attached extract from the Ac400 connect manual.
As you can read here, Event treat prio 5-7 are all mapped towards 800xA Priority 4.

The reason for this is for coexistence with Ac800 connect from a priority point of view. In the file AdvMbAeOPCserver.csv the Advant priority defined in the AC400 database are mapped towards the OPC severity, It’s strongly recommended to not to make changes in the .csv file.
Anyhow, In the AdvMbAeOPCserver.csv file you can read that Advant Master Prio 5 is mapped towards OPC severity 375. See the standard mapping towards OPC Priority in the AdvMbAeOPCserver.csv extract below.

Then in the aspect Alarm Priority Mapping in Library structure under alarm collection definitions, Advant Master OPC Server Alarm collection you will find that all alarms with OPC severity 1 - 599 are mapped towards 800xA priority 4.
meaning that even if you use Priority 7 in Ac450 you will still produce an alarm with 800xA priority 4 by default.

To change this you must edit the Alarm Priority mapping aspect for Advant master.
But then you need to document it properly, as it will be overwritten by standard in case of a system upgrade .
