SV5.1 Fp4 RevD Harmony tags gets freezed on all graphics pages and faceplates, update after 10 sec for evry min
Hi,
We are experiencing a strange problem. Harmony tags are getting freezed on all graphic pages and faceplate for almost 10 sec and then value gets updated. This is happening for every one minute.
Checked for all the services, all are in service state but observed there are lot of events generated by harmony redundant servers like a flood.
The events are as below:
"Established 1 tags" from both the servers. In a minute around 50 events are generated. I suspect this is causing the issure.
Any idea on how to resolve these flood of events from the harmony connect servers.
As a back end, I see site engineers have added and removed some tags in the configuration before this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sri

This can be caused by a number of things, which is a little too hard to illustrate in this forum. However some of the common things that case this I'll list below:
- Tags that do not have an associated XR - check and ensure all tags have an XR in the controllers. Tags that cannot be established take up a lot of ICI time causing the lags you have said. Composer/S+Eng can help with this task
- Ensure the redundant server is not running as an independent server. Check Harmony Server services. If not sure, turn of one of the servers and if the lags go away then this is the problem. Note: if not setup correctly may cause all tags to go offline, so please be care full.
- ICI communications: not sure what is connecting your servers to the loop (RS232/SCSI/Ethernet) but check to ensure the ICI's are not resetting and check for earthing issues (RS232), cable problems (SCSI-too long, incorrect terminations etc) and IP address conflicts or sharing of Ethernet with other items (IET800/PNI800)
