Unable to add opc groups in opc server
Hi everyone,
I am using ABB PM 862 controller and I need to fetch data from this controller to my c# application via OPC. I am using Matrikon client application to connect to ABB.AC800MC_OpcDaServer and using Matrikon opc wrapper to access ABB PLC data to c# application.
However, I am unable to add OPC groups in server after being in connected state.
Please guide.
Thanks,

Does Matrikon OPC browser show live values?
I assume you downloaded control application to PM862 in Control Builder. Check in AC800M OPC Server whether is showing yellow smiley icon at IP address of your PLC. Note there are two tabs in OPC server: DA and AE channels. Focus on the first tab Data Access. If there is no PLC IP address defined, add it. If there is red cross icon, check ethernet connection with PLC. Note that OPC server needs some files from Control Builder to be updated after each project download after change. The best option is OPC server installed in the same PC as Control builder, then OPC is updated automatically after each PLC download.

Agree with first answer.
Rule out OPC server issue by connecting the OPC server with some 3rd party OPC DA client.
