How do you view online function of AC800 PLC
I have a AC800-PM856 K01 PLC Controlling a thuster VFD. We are experiencing a start inhibit from the PLC due to a Priority 2 Drive Fault. However, the drive does not show any active faults.
Is there any way I can connect a service laptop directly to the PLC and look at the running logic to try to determine where the PLC is seeing a drive fault and therefore initiating the start inhibit?
We have control builder installed on our service laptop. Our control panel user manual only discusses downloading a project to a new PLC and says nothing about just going online and monitoring the running PLC.

If this is a Compact CB Project you need a complete set of the project files. (Observe that there are no program "upload" like a Siemens PLC project.)
Then, and only then, it is possible to use the online functionality of CCB to go-online and check the controller code.
You might also need to figure out how to access the control network, and assign a temporary ip-address to your laptop.
However, if it is a system 800xA project, you need access to the engineering node. (Don't bother with a laptop-CCB in this case.)
Both alternatives might also need to know correct user and password to access the control code.
My experience tells me that trouble-shooting communication between Controller & VFD could be tricky. There might be code blocks (standard or proprietary) with restricted access used.
You need to understand CW and feedback from VFD, good documentation makes it easier...etc
