Advant Station 120 External Display & Printing
There are a number of ports on the side and one of them looks like a VGA port. We have tried to connect a monitor to it, but no result.
So the question(s) is(are) can we connect an external display?, where it will be connected? do we need to enable it somehow?
and how can I install a printer for printing? does it support only specific types of printers?
Your AS120 is 20 - 25 years old and very obsolete.
It uses the obsolete DSPU 131 Engineering board.
If you are going to print PC diagrams direct from the online builder using commands LPCD etc, you must used a matrix printer and the paralell port on the DSPU 131 board.
The same board where you have the DB-9 connection to your controller.
My recommendation is that you upgrade to a Notebook or Workstation with current version of Control builder A 1.4 and Windows 10 plus the external PU410 unit which
replaces the DSPU 131 EISA board to connect to your controller.
Then you will be able to use windows printer drivers and also the Function Chart Builder.
