PNSM - BAD (waiting for initial data)
Hi everyone,
I can't monitor some computers (800xA nodes) through PNSM. OPC properties from IT Control Connection aspect have display "BAD (waiting for initial data)" quality status (please, check picture attached).
Actions taken:
- I already restarted the PNSM server;
- I already restarted some monitored 800xA nodes.
When I restart the PNSM server, some properties return to display "good" quality, others do not.
Do you have any suggestions for action (System 800xA 5.1)?
Thanks.

Check that Windows firewall, if it is used at all, have rules for PNSM.
If some but not all Basic Computer Monitoring objects fail it sounds like a DCOM/permission problem. Typically, this is accompanied by DCOM errors in Windows Event Log. As already suggested a firewall may also prevent PNSM to access a remote node, so also a defective ”hosts” file. The RNRP Wizard has a feature which can refresh all hosts files in one single operation.
