why RTA board is not used in System 800xA

A bit strange question since 800xA for Advant Master do make use of a ”RTA” but in recent versions it has been moved outside of the computer as a standalone 19” rack mount device instead of internal PCI board.
One of the reasons to go for external board was the added overhead of WHQL - having the Kernel Mode device driver to pass Windows Hardware Qualification which is mandatory in 64-bit OSes. The external 19” appliance uses User Mode drivers where no MS certification is necessary.
Another reason is the ever changing PCI specification as newer architectures see daylight. Making new blueprints and circuitry, etc is very expensive given the expected sales volume.
The old style PCI RTA work on 32-bit Windows (up to Server 2008 but not including 2008 R2 which is 64-bit).
