Acrobat DC not displaying when called from an Aspect
Good morning all,
I have a problem with Acrobat DC on a system that I'm commissioning. The system is a 6.03 multi node system (base version 6.0.103) with Acrobat DC version 2018.009.20044.
When I open a PDF file from an Aspect for the first time it opens normally. Subsequent attempts fail with a popup stating "There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running please exit and try again (523:523). Sometimes error (507:507) is shown instead. This behaviour persists until the node is rebooted. Task Manager shows that there are no Adobe processes running.
I have researched these errors, they just seem to be listed as general errors although I have seen suggestions that the problem could be permissions related. (if it's permissions related it's not clear why it opens the first time.)
PDF files opened from the file manager open normally.
According to the documentation Acrobat DC is the supported version as Acrobat 11 has been deprecated. My colleagues in the office have suggested deinstalling Acrobat DC and installing Acrobat 11 as this is still included on the install media, however I need to discuss this with the customer as their corporate standard is Acrobat DC.
Has anybody experienced this problem?

Adobe Reader "Protected Mode at Startup" must be disabled after installation.
Open Adobe Reader, Navigate to Edit > Preferences > Security (enhanced) and
uncheck the "Enable Protected Mode at Startup"
