PTC Tripping Resistance
Dear All,
I have ACS880 Drive and PTC connected on DI6, during commissioning i was testing it by removing the PTC wires and realized that the drives only gave "Warning", so i checked the configuration and noticed that there are two parameters,
35.12 Temperature 1 fault limit (Default 4500 Ω)
35.13 Temperature 1 warning limit (Default 4000 Ω)
so i changed them to be,
35.12 Temperature 1 fault limit (1800 Ω)
35.13 Temperature 1 warning limit (1500 Ω)
this time, the drive gave"Fault"
my question is, whey the dive didn't give "Fault" before changing the default values (Open loop >> 4500Ω)??

Hi,
Have you looked at page 50 of FW manual - below? I think in your case you need to do the described voltage divider for 4000 ohms case.
Also look 35.10, it defines if warning or fault will be generated in case of fault.

and <1.5Kohms is 1.
fault and warning are based on Supervision fault and warning limit.
