DCN Ring Communication Errors / Database issue...
We had a database pile up. A recent backup was not available, so an earlier backup was used to load a new project. This backup was missing a few loop_loads, so we loaded the ATFs of the loops that were changed and attempted to download them in the same order as the previous job numbers. That seemed to work out fine.
Later, we tried to download a small loop descriptor change to a loop in a different 460 subsystem. At this point the advabuild PAS entered a restart cycle (and continued to fail at the OMO step). The installed database, shown in Advabuild, had a strange ascii string as the project name, and a 12:00 AM install time.
A separate yet related issue is that Diagnostic Message list is reporting ring communication errors, yet DCNLOAD data loops show normal runtime values ~30% load.
I'm pretty sure we're hooped and need a full database compile & node reboots.

Well, I Think that once you restored the old database Backup you jeopardize the system, it seems that not all changes could have been successfully updated. I think that you already did it, but try to reboot all nodes one at a time, forcing every node to reload its portion of the database, I suggest try to do it first with the node where the issue started.
Compiling top-down the database (also compiling and linking all TCL codes and TLL) and re-booting nodes for sure will eliminate this head ache.
