Process Event Based Triggering of workplace graphics
Hello,
Is it possible to use a process alarm trigger (i.e. - Loss of plant instrument air, a DI wired into the system) to automatically launch one screen in the workplace to a specific graphic? How would that be done?

You can do this by Aspect view invoker.
Right click on the DI object for example in the graphic builder edit field >>Inputitems>>elment hosted>>create>>Aspect view invoker
In the Trigger field connect DI(Io value ) and in the view reference browse the display wanted
when the IO value turns true selected display will pop up!!

You can do that in the way sandeeppv suggest. But keep in mind that the graphic display has to be open. You may use the application bar of the workplace for this.
I addition to the 2 other answers on HOW to do this - I would suggest you consider whether you SHOULD do this ....
- You will not be able to control which computers or screens this happens on unless you correctly configure different application bars and different workplaces for each screen and workplace.
- You can potentially interrupt the operator while they are doing something else more important.
Critical Alarms are usually best served by using appropriate Audible sounds. Minimize the number of alarms that produce any sound at all and use a continuous sound for the one or two critical alarms in your plant that require immediate action or acknowledgement.
