SM811 and PM865 redundancy
I have redundant SM811 and PM865 controllers. After a blackout and resetting / re-downloading controllers, all LED status indicators on SM811 and PM865 were healthy. For testing purpose a redundancy switch-over was performed from control builder, switchover happened (Sec PM865 became Pri with all LED OK except Dual) and Sec controller fault LED is lit now. After a reset from init button the Fault is gone and both controllers becomes Dual again. Sec SM811 also becomes Pri but now there is not a single LED ON on Sec SM811. Is there a procedure to reset SM811 as well. Already tried HOT INSERT push button.

What work flow did you follow to test the redundancy?
Are you able to repeat the behavior? Or next redundancy tests were okay?
I would suggest you to check the CPU logs (C:\ABB Industrial IT Data\Engineering IT Data\Control Builder M Professional\LogFiles), for errors during the time you performed this test.
You can use this tool to check the meaning of the error codes: https://forum-controlsystems.abb.com/...
Also, check for CEX-Bus fuse inside the CPU unit and try replacing the SM unit with a spare one, and check the behavior.
If possible, you can share the CPU logs for review, or contact your Regional Support Center for assistance.
When you have tried hot insert of SM811 unit the Access Enable input key must be turned On ("enabled"), otherwise the inserted SM811 will not be updated.
Press the “Hot Insert” button to regain synchronization of the backup SM811 (only for redundant SIL3 systems).
Neither R(un) nor F(ault) LEDs are ON The SM810/SM811/SM812 board is in the process of being restarted or configured. Allow time for this to finalize. If the condition persists, and no other unit LED on the CEX-Bus is lit: • Check the Log File • Check the CEX-Bus fuse inside the CPU unit. • Initiate a reset signal (INIT) from the CPU unit. • Replace the SM810/SM811/SM812 unit
