Variable sharing between separate DCS controllers (both are PM902F)
I have two separate DCS on the same factory. The reasons why this was done this way are beyond my reach at the moment. Both controllers are ABB PM902F running on Freelance 2016.
I need to communicate both systems to share some variables useful for process (one is a boiler and the other is the factory).
My only idea right now is doing it via OPC. However, I'd like to know if there's another way to share variables between these ABB controllers. I'd appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks a lot!

you could use Send/Receive function blocks or Modbus TCP function blocks. If the two controllers sit on the same physical Ethernet, you would not need to connect them additionally. If not, you need to connect them with a separate Ethernet line using one free port of the 4 available Ethernet ports
In the long run you could consider merging the two systems into one project. Then sharing of variables is easily done with the integrated lateral communication.
