Fault 5093 on an ACS880 ?? Rating I.D. mismatch
I'm trying to repair an ACS880-01-11AO-5 , the drive is less than 3 years old and is fairly clean. Fan works and the caps should be fine.
The fault code is 5093- Rating I.D. mismatch-- "The hardware of the drive does not match the information stored in the memory unit. This may occur eg. after a firmware update or memory unit replacement." The remedy in the manual is to cycle the power. I did that, fault did not clear.
I connected to Drive Composer Entry and saved customer parameters then defaulted the drive. Error 5093 persists.
-Is there anything I can do about this fault, short of buying Drive Composer Pro? The repair price is $1150 and I've already spent 10 hours on it.
Note, I don't know what machine this came out of. My best guess is they put the wrong memory unit in. I have no details as to whether the machine failed during operation or after service.
Thanks in advance for any advice,

Have you checked that the drive is not yet under warranty?
If yes, IMHO for you is more convenient to ask to your local Service ABB Drives the repair - substitution.
Drive Composer Pro is not the solution. You need to install one new FW - update at the last version - to try to solve the issue, but the adeguate tools - Drive Loader - to do it, are not in public ABB library...so in the end you still need the ABB service.
Try to feel your current ABB Drives distributor for a new memory unit, probably the best solution. If the drive no longer has the same problem with the new memory unit, you have solved the issue.
Hope this help you
It seems you need to update the firmware of control board. Either it is defective or a wrong version is loaded.
Do you detect any other problems than the described fault message?
I could recommend you to contact ABB for that, if you don't have enough experience.
I remember the similar procedure for ACS800. It happens for example if you replace the control board RMIO of the drive.
When you order the new RMIO board, you have to specify which Firmware version to be loaded in it, in the factory.
You can do firmware update later or by yourself, with a specific tool (Drive Loader ?), but you will need a FW file for the drive, which is available to authorized ABB service organizations. I'm not quite sure if you will have access to firmware files, better to contact ABB.
Once I needed to replace the firmware of the drive at site - to remove Pump version of Firmware and install the standard firmware version. So in that case I received from ABB the proper FW version and that special tool.
Last, which I remember - there are hidden parameters, above 100... (for ACS800) where after update of the firmware, you need to select the type code of your inverter / power (...-11AO). Otherwise you can damage the drive - if for example enter the bigger size than the real one.
