AC800M CI856 S100
Hi,
I would like to have a confirmation that CI856 communication processor
does not support redundant communications with S100 I/O racks.
If so many "unlucky" customers will need to "migrate" not only the MOD300 software
but also the cabling from S100 connection units to S800 style termination units.
Actually, I do not know if any cable kit is available to connect the old S100
connection units to TB840 .
So, just to resume, to migrate a Advant AC460 Controller with "redundant" S100 I/O rack
to the AC800M architecture I need :
Make a full "recabling" of the I/O,
Rewrite the control software,
Rewrite TCL sequences ( I am not sure with which language)
Re-test the entire application.
Some customers told me that it looks like migrating their MOD300
to Emerson Delta V or Yokogawa Centum VP or Schneider I/A series..
I am really interested in your opinion.
Thanks
PB
