PM573-ETH not saving new IP address
Hello, ABB.
I'm trying to configure the IP address of a PM573-ETH PLC on a TB511 Base Terminal via Automation Builder.
When I do a scan on IP-configuration I can see the PLC with its current IP address (10.10.10.91). However, I want to set it to, for example, 192.168.0.10. When I set the new IP address via Automation Builder, I see the confirmation "Send successful"; but when I do a scan again, I see that the PLC has the same old IP-address.
I've also tried to set it up manually via the display of the PLC, but when I do a scan I only see the new IP address on the "Configured IP Address" tab, not on the "Current IP Address" tab.
Also, any time I reboot the PLC, the old IP address appears.
On the PLC I have the following error messages:
E3 026
d1 014
d2 255
d3 003
d4 000
Which I've found in the Help files to be an error on the PLC's configuration and it's firmware. I haven't been able to find how to update the firmware of the PLC.
Also, as I read other questions related to this topic, I've made sure to not have any SD card inserted or to have and older version of the TB511.
How can I successfully set the IP address on my PLC?
Thanks a lot! Your answers are truly aprpeciated!

Hi
I understand that it is a cpu with a previous configuration inside.
You can try to do an update, but you must have an SD card.
Moreover, if there are any inconsistencies in the program inside the CPU, with the FW update the program will not be modified.
You could try a modification by connecting to the CPU with a TK503 cable, on the serial communication port, but I understand that your problem is not the connection to the CPU with RJ 45 cable, or not?
Have you got the source program of what is currently in memory in the CPU?
When you try to change the IP node from the Automation Builder with a scan - IP function, is the CPU in STOP?
Try to indicate what is your HW configuration of the PLC, perhaps with some more info I can help you better.
