ACS550 to be controlled with external 0-10v reference
I'm dealing with an irrigation automation project where I need to be able to have an ACS550 be controlled by an external signal of 0-10V. Currently the VSD is controlled by a closed loop signal coming from a 4-20mA pressure transducer but in order to optimise the system I need to have the external 0-10V signal to simply tell the VSD at which speed to run the pump at. 0V for 0% running speed, 10V for 100% and linear logic inbetween.
I've gone through my manual many many times, in the short section where external refernce is mentioned I cannot get enough to do all the settings I need to effect this change.

this is one of the most common configuration of ACS550 drive.
Are you sure to cancel the PID closed control loop?
Make sure you still make a backup copy of the data, for a future re-use of closed loop control with pressure transducer.
Parameter group 99 --> depending on the motor values, control in scalar mode.
10.01 - DI1 for start pump
11.02 - EXT 1
11.03 - AI1
11.04 - 0 Hz
11.05 - 50 Hz
13.01 - 0%
13.02 - 100%
20.07 - 0 Hz
20.08 - 50 Hz
21.01 - RAMP
22.02 - ACCELERATION TIME - DEPENDING ON OF YOU MOTOR AND DRIVE
These are the minimum setting to obtain a 0-10 V regulation with your drive, but you must to set the HW dip - switch for AI1 Voltage type.
In any case I suggest you to read very carefully the FW manual available on ABB site
