Make sure you have configured the DCOM settings at both the ends (PLC Connect server node and 3rd party node); as Matricon will bypass the DCOM, but PLC Connect won't. If possible, share PLC Connect log files from path: C:\OperateITDataXXX\AdsServer.
Hi,
Check the DCOM settings and user account & password in both ends.
and check the following things also
Check the DCOM settings and user account & password in both ends.
and check the following things also
- Firewall settings
- Bi-directional DCOM settings is required to enable asynch. calls
- Server computer must allow client to login and launch OPC server
- Client computer must allow OPC server to call back to OPC client
- Browsing for remote OPC servers require OPCEnum.exe in server
- OPCEnum.exe require DCOM Remote Access + Launch + Activation
- Defining a dedicated connect account is more secure than Everyone
- The connect account must be granted access with DCOMCNFG.EXE
- A dedicated (preferably non-admin) 800xA user is required as launching identity for the AfwDsOpcSurrogate.1 server
