Upgrade 800xA 6.0.3 to 6.0.3 RU2 error!
I did Configure System Updates in SCC followed manual but I got this below pictures.
I also tried to apply RepairLMR.bat file located C:\Medias\6.0.3 RU2\Tools\System Installer\Node Preparation Tool.
When I installed 6.0.3 RU2, ABB CLS Core Installation and Central Licensing System will be updated from the message.
After that, Central Licensing System is installed with no error, but ABB CLS Core Installation has some problem as below pic.
Please, check below pic and tell me what to do and how to fix.
Available system versions:
6.0.3-0 (base version)
6.0.3-1 (added support for Windows 10)
6.0.3-2 (most recent version, added support for Server 2016)
In the above system versions, there are numerous of embedded software kits, e.g. ABB 800xA Base, ABB Central Licensing, etc. - a new system version may or may not contain a more recent version of one or more of the embedded kits. E.g. ABB 800xA Base 6.0.3 RU4 is embedded with system version 6.0.3-2, but can also be downloaded separately from ABB Library.
The warning you see is likely due to that ABB Central Licensing System has been upgraded to 6.0.3-0 Rollup 2 (6.0.3000.84) in an improper way. Maybe the MSI was loaded manually instead of via the System Installer. The software became installed, but the LMR was not updated properly.
The system installer detects build version 6.0.3000.84 as installed, while only finding 6.0.3000.73 in the Local Media Repository.
A LMR repair is the correct thing to attempt here, but as the Getting Started user's guide (2PAA111708-600) tries to convey, you may have to point out an Additional Media path to embrace software outside the full media, or start the repair from the most recent rollup (which obviously is outside the full media) and then point out the base media as Additional Media. When properly used, the node prep/repair will iterate ALL software found on the media + additional media, merge the most recent versions and put them on the LMR.
For your information, the versions seen in your image tells me that you are not on system version 6.0.3-2, there is e.g. a more recent AC 800M Connect part there, not to mention the support for Server 2016.
Stay tuned to the System Software Version document(s) on ABB Library; it will properly list all new features released (the most recent rollups may take a few weeks to appear, but you will find them announced separately, e.g. the CLS rollup we are debating here)
This link will only work if you have access to ABB Library. If not, please ask your regional sales representative for assistance.
There is a simple editorial error in a core package file (C:\ProgramData\ABB\800xA\MediaRepository\Core\Licensing\ABB_CLS_Installer_Proje
ct.corepackage) which needs to be corrected.
I assume the corrupt rollup will be revoked and a new corrected one be published on ABB Library shortly.
Once the new rollup is out, affected systems can easily be repaired by copying the above file from the corrected media over to the LRU on each machine.
Systems affected should not see any other issue from this problem with exception for the warning in Configure System.
Now I checked ABB dwonload center, 800xA 6.0.3 RU2 is disappear and can not find any more.
Now just I can find 800xA 6.0.3 RU4 in ABB download center.
So, I test from 6.0.3 to 6.0.3 RU4 and it is working well. There are no errors.
Maybe they found some error issues and removed that version of rollup.
However, why didn't mention anything on it?
