restore cold retain values
hi
I recently restored (via import tool) a customers project on my VM in the office.
Unfortunately the cold retain values didn't restore as expected. As this is a project using Pulp&Paper library I have then lost all ranges, alarm limits, initial values etc.
Is it an easy way I can restore the Cold Retain values? I thought they would be part of the import file.

Hi!
Please read the AC800M Configuration Manual (3BSE035980-X), if it is a AC800M Connectivity system.
It is explained in Section 5. If you use ver 6 there is a tool called "StartValues Analyzer Tool" that might be useful.

They should be in the import file. But since they're already lost ....
Go back to the customers site, open the ABB Industrial IT / Control IT data directory on a connectivity server and copy all of the Retain and Cold Retain files to safe media. Then restore them on to your VM in the office.

I believe the P&P library has a dedicated tool to offload cold retain values to Excel for later use (eg reinsertion).
Refer to P&P documentation.

You can also use BDL for cold retain value or set value and etc....

Hi, may I ask how you managed this issue? I got the same situation with the cold retain values. Thanks.
