Multiple Operator_WPL licenses in License Assignment Editor
Hi!
We are having an issue regarding licenses. When using the License Assignment Editor/Diagnostics we can see that some 800xA nodes have made more than one request for an Operator_WPL license. Anyone who knows why? The requests have different ID:s. Where do this ID come from? Even when we restart the actual 800xA node the requests sometimes remains. Is this a known issue?

Hi,
Check if you have opened more operator workplaces than the license available, also check if you are using Triple operator workplace. Kindly note that triple operator workplace calls for an additional license. Get in touch with your local ABB contact for further help

Hi,
You can check the license usage in the admin structure, there you will get the total and in Use workplace numbers. Same way check the number of running workplace in workplace stricture.
If this is not helpful, then you have to check in Afwapplogviewer.

In the past (up to v5.1 AFAICT) only one OPERATOR_WPL license seat were allocated in CLS per requesting node, regardless of number of concurrently open workplaces.
With v6 licensing has changed a bit, eg the introduction of Engineering vs Production phases.
Normally, the LAE is often absolutely correct in its counting.
What does the [Workplace Structure]Running Workplace Overview aspect list? One or more workplaces? A suspended Windows session having an extra workplace allocated?
If you cannot sort this out yourself, I believe you should contact your regional ABB support center to obtain assistance.
