Accidentally set a PM564 to it's RUN cycle and then someow changed it's configuration. Now cannot login to Stop it
I am trying to learn some PLC programming using Automation Builder 1.2 and a PM564 ETH PLC. I got it to login and run a piece of code using the default IP address. Then I tried changing the IP address which worked, but for some reason, the PLC is now stuck in the RUN state and it won't let me login, or change the configuration of the PLC while in cyclic operation.
I'm not sure what I did wrong so any advice is appreciated.
How can I either stop the cycle, login to the PLC or reset it completely so that I can carry on programming?
Also, I haven't found any good documentation regarding the user manual of PLCs or Automation Builder in general, so if you could point me to some, it would be most appreciated.
You can go in Automation Builder - the CPU ETH port and try to scan it. Normally the actual IP address appear in this screen. So you can configure the new IP for the CPU, or use the actual IP to connect to the PLC.
Factory default setting for this CPU - move RUN/STOP switch in front of the CPU to Stop position. Switch off the power supply. Switch on the power supply.
There is a very good user documentation available in the file and in the net (e.g. www.abb.com/plc)
