How to properly wire up I1 on SM811?
I am working on a HI system where it is necessary for me to pick the value of Access Enable (I2) and Reset all forces (I1) on the SM811. I have used the FB ForcedSignals to pick these values. My access enable is working perfectly fine, however my Reset all forces is not working.
I have currently used a 3 way switch which either directs 24V DC to Access Enable(I2) or to Reset all forces (I1) as per user discretion.
I read in the manual that "The Reset all Forces input (I1) and Hot-insert input (I3) must be connected to impulse type panel if they are used." Please guide as to what it exactly means? What is the correct wiring procedure for the pin I1?

Hi,
Below is wiring examples of Redundnat and Non-Redundant SM811 modules.

Hi,
Yes, you are correct. The "Reset All Forces" and "Hot Insert" inputs of SM811 shall be connected to Impulse type push buttons.
The "Access Enable" input of SM811 shall be connected to Two way/Two Position Key Switch. To allow the above operations, Reset All Forces and Hot Insert SM811 module Access Enable shall be true/1 (kept in access enable position).
In your case, you are using 3-Way switch for Access Enable and Reset All Forces! Hence when the switch is moved to Reset All Forces position, Access Enable is lost and preventing other operation(s) like, Reset All Forces and Hot Insert if used.
Change the 3-way switch to to Two way/Two Position key switch for Access Enable and Impulse Type push buttons for other inputs like, Reset All Forces and Hot Insert.
If you have redundant SM811 modules, both modules shall be connected from common switch and Impulse Type Push buttons for Access Enable, Reset All Forces and Hot Insert.
