MPRC board 086444-005 IP issues
SP1200 frame would not connect to network after a power failure.
Replaced the failed MPRC.
Placed the failed MPRC in a programming fixture.
Attempted connection through the local ethernet service port, straight through cable.
Tried the default 192.168.1.20 and 192.168.1.19, with no success.
Looked up its original IP in netfile from a recent backup of /ss01/clm, 10.0.0.0 (which is invalid).
Does this invalid port imply the processor is defective, or software is missing?
Then tried the fiber network port address 192.168.1.1, just in case.
Definately unsure of the condition of its eSP350.0a program or /ss01/.
Was going to attempt connection through the comm port, but i will need to build a cable.
Does anyone know the pin out for the DB9 connectors, and the comm port settings?
Or is what I'm attempting futile?

Its a standard RS232 cable. Unfortunately theres no drawing in my copy of the SP System Software Manual, but IIRC its simply 2-3,3-2,5-5. There should be a serial cable in the end column of the Smart Platform (though its quite likely somebody "lost" it at some point.)
The standard baud rate is 9600,none, 8, 1 but the card will support 19.2K. If you are using the standalone programming unit then 19.2 should work just fine.
Its quite possible that the AVOS software in the EEPROM has become corrupted. So if you can get communications going through the serial port then it's worth trying to reload the operating system again. The manuals are your friend. Make sure you have the right version of the SP System SW Manual that applies to your MPRC revision and follow the steps for Loading the MPRC carefully.
