Fails to add client to 800xA 6.0
Two Windows 8.1 x64 machines running as redundant pair of Aspect abd Connectivity servers, this work perfect. Installation was performed totally manually.
Then I want to add a client and installs the same software on the client machine as the servers (even including Connectivity, Control Builder, MMS and all, but tried also without all this).
Firewalls are turned off all over.
Using AfwConfigWizard on primary aspect server (Server-A)/System Administration/Nodes/Add Client. Presents the client name (which is correctly pingable, I even tried adding the IP address instead of name, same result).
Server-A reports no error and on the client I can see that it is now connected to the system.
However, client never changes to running state (ServiceConnectionViewer says MySystem(stopped)(default) and AfwFsdNode never spends cpu time (it was actually started when client node was added from Server-A).
What can be wrong ?
Installing a V6 system and adding clients this way may work but will jeopardize future upgrades.
Nodes not "made with V6 system config tool" will exist in Node Admin Structure and eventually start to work. However, when upgrading to eg upcoming rev A only nodes added from new tool will be catered for. Ie manually added nodes and functions will require manual work when upgrading.
New config tool of v6 is currently not able to detect "external manipulation" of node and service configuration.
Have you tried "Connect node" from Node Definition aspect?
