AC700F Modbus TCP/IP communication with Panel 800 (PP845)
Hi all,
I'm trying to set up a Modbus TCP/IP communication between AC700F controller (PM 783) and Panel 800 (PP845) but unfortunately i have some problem. I watched the video which explains how to configure a Modbus TCP/IP communication between AC900F controller and Panel 800 but in this video he is using Panel Builder Ver. 6 and I'm using Panel Builder 5.1 (I can't use Panel Builder Ver. 6 because PP845 is not supported). So, I tried to configure the AC 700F controller as slave and panel 800 as master but in Panel Builder 5.1 I can't specify the Port number and the Slave Node number (respectively 502 and 255) as you can see in the Figure 1 attached. So, I tried to configure the AC700F controller as Master and the PP845 as Slave but for some reason the connection is not established correctly as you can see in the Figure 2 and Figure 3 attached (in these pictures you can see the Modbus TCP/IP Diagnosis in Control Builder F). Controller and panel 800 are connected through a switch but I don't think this is a problem. Thnaks in advance.

I've found the problem and I would like to share my experience with you.
First of all I configured Freelance controller (PM783) as Modbus Master and Panel 800 (PP845) as Slave. Then, I tried to write a coil in control builder F using the following address: 00001 (in control builder F you can type in just 1). For some reason, if you want to read the coil in the address 00001 the tag configuration address must be 00002. So, all the addresses are shifted by 1 in Panel Builder V5.1. A colleague of mine told me that the addresses are shifted by 1 even using MMS communication.

it is good idea to have one modbus simulator, (please check with calta computer,http://www.calta.com/mdbus.htm)
you can connect first with simulator, if have good results, you can try again connecting between Panel and PLC.

Can you send me the link of this video teaching how to communicate AC900F with panel 800(V6)?
