License problem for 800xA
I'm experiencing some strange license problems for an 800xA setup using redundant virtual servers with one aspect server acting as CLS machine.
I recieve license errors (Error Code: 0x4AB89 - The client is not in the same system as the active SFA) on all machines except the CLS machine. I can fix the problem by changing CLS machine to another machine and back and then restarting the CLS machine. The errors then come back after several hours.
Any idea what could cause this problem? Please see attached screenshot of License Status Viewer. The License Status Viewer on the CLS machine shows no errors.
from "2PAA111691-600 A" Manual:
"Possible causes are either the use of one CLS server for more than one 800xA system or nodes not added in the system after recreation of system or client node point to the CLS system that is not part of corresponding 800xA system."
from "3BSE038357R4001" manual:
"if you remove a node from a redundant system, you might get a message indicating that the "client does not belong to the same system as de active SFA". ONE of the following actiones can be taken to solve the problem:
1.- Disconnect the computer from the network.
2.- Unistall the 800xA System software from the computer.
3.-From the license Status Viewer, use Tools->Change CLS Machine to set a computer name thar does not exit. "
Error Code: 0x4AB89 - The client is not in the same system as the active SFA
This error is seen in our system when the logged in user in one of 800xA nodes is NOT a member of IndustrialIT Users. Please check if all the 800xA Nodes are logged in with a valid 800xA user that is a member of IndustrialIT Users group.
This is mostly related to user rights issue. If you are using Domain, you can try to remove & add the node from domain & then apply the 800xa user settings freshly with 800xA Service account.
Ensure to add the node to the primary aspect server with 800xA service account & use the same account for license service.
