How to join a "S7 SIEMENS PLC" with "ABB MasterPiece 200/1 's DSPC 172 CPU" to send and recieve between them
Hello,
As, showed in the attached picture, I want to join a "S7 SIEMENS PLC" with "ABB MasterPiece 200/1 's DSPC 172 CPU" to send and recieve between them. For this aim I suggest to connect a Personal Computer that contains Control Builder A 1.3 software installed on it's Windows 7 to the ABB DSPC 172 using CBA port of External RTA Communication Unit "PU410" connected and also connect the computer to the SIEMENS S7 CPU using Ethernet.
1- Is it a true way?
2- Is it the best way or it is possible to have a better way to connect the SIEMENS CPU to ABB one to have a common control with these CPUs?
3- Is it possible to use SIEMENS 3964 (R) port with DSCA 180F card for connecting MasterAid 220 (or DSPC 172 CPU) to SIEMENS S7 CPU? If yes do you have any manual to describe how to do it?
4- Do you know about "EXCOM" in ABB PLC? Can I use it with DSCA 114 card to join our DSPC 172 CPU to a modern personal computer with windows 7 OS ?

No

The Siemens S7 can connect directly to the MB300 Masterbus and communicate with the PLC using "Datasets". However, it isn't magic. There will be some programming required in the MP200 to get this to work. ( Creating Dataset elements and writing a PC Program or modifying existing programs )
This is most likely your easiest option.

The DSCA180F interface board communicates directly to the Siemens PLC. It does not connect to the MA200.
However, your problem will be purchasing ( the board is obsolete ) and programming for this board. The DCSA180F configuration is programmed into the MP200 using the MA220. Its pretty difficult to program and will almost certainly require extensive changes to your PLC memory allocation. This is a job for an expert.

In thoeory yes, In reality No. EXCOM is an outdated RS232 serial protocol and the Win 7 PC requires an EXCOM driver interface. You would have to write this yourself.
