800xa diagnostic messages with alarm list filtered on environment structure.
I have 800xa 5.1 Rev A system with MOD300 Connect. I have 3 areas in the MOD300 Environment Structure and an alarm list in each area filtered to "Object and Descendents". I have 3 separate workplaces with audible alarms pointed at the alarm list for each area. This works well for Process alarms and the audible alarm works correctly. However, with this setup I do not get any MOD diagnostic alarms or system alarms into the filtered alarm lists. I assume this is because of the alarm list filtering. Is there any way to filter an alarm list to an environment structure and still get system and MOD diagnostic alarms into the list?
Thanks,

The aspect category name "Alarm and Event List" may give false hope - a more correct name would be "Alarm *OR* Event List".
A list can only be set to filter for Condition Events (aka Alarms) *OR* Simple Events (aka Events) not both at the same time.
If you can sacrifice the possibiity to acknowledge and display live state color you can select to filter for events only. All alarms are automatically converted into events by the system. Just modify your event list filter to include the alarm categories you would like to monitor.
If you need possibility to acknowledge in list, you must filter for alarms (and not be able to see any events in that list).

Update - Unfortunately the workaround cited above did not work. I can get Process Alarms and MOD Diagnostic and System events into one alarm list by setting the source to Events. However, this only works when the Alarm Filter of the list is set to "All Alarms". Once I set the Alarm Filter to "Object and Descendents", I no longer get the MOD system messages - only Process alarms.
Looks like I may have to attempt to filter my process areas by something other than the Environment Structure.
