Sattline controller - Maximum number MMS communications
Hi,
I would know what is the maximum (or recommended) number of MMS communication can handle a single Sattline controller.
Thanks

Like you, I cannot find any documented hard limits on MMS communications in Sattline.
Practical limits are based on transactions per second, so you can send a lot more information if you send it a little slower or if you send more information per message. In most cases the answer should be "enough" as long as you are sensible.
The real limiting factor is the CPU load. If you suspect issues with communications check the CPU loads and adjust the Read interval on your MMS messages. While MMS writes are possible, they are much harder to document and diagnose and my personal preference is not to use them, but obviously you should check these intervals too.
Also, there seems to be a hard limit on the maximum size of a single MMS message.

a Sattline expert gave us the answer:
"Since a CPU 50 only can handle around 60 telegrams per second seems 67 connections very much.
It is not possible for us to investigate details about the max allowed number of connections in SattLine for the moment. But a qualified guesses is that there is the same limits in SL as for Control in 800xA. However the communication in 800xA are slightly different compared with SattLine and it is not possible to define max number of connections.
There is no difference between 200-CPU 50/200 compared with 200-CPU 50/160.
Too many connections will affect the communication performance. Either is there a successfully connection or not. But since all buffers could be occupied is it not sure it is possible to communicate on a connection at a specific time, so could be a timeout, short or long which will result in a resend of the telegram. Check in log files for error."
