How to test redundant combined aspect connectivity servers in 800Xa ver5.1
How to test redundant combined aspect connectivity servers in 800Xa ver5.1 FP1
what i mean is there a procedure to test this redundancy?
I make a shutdown for the primary aspect connectivity and the secondary take over the system successfully without any problem.
But when i restart the primary again randoum services can't go in service mode or stand by untill i made manual restart for these services.

Below is the procedure:
1) Best one as you mentioned, restart the primary aspect/connectivity server and observe that no effect is seen in the operation or engineering environment and there is a switch over of all services to secondary node.
2) Other way just to ensure both nodes are working, if you have configured affinity, you can check the service connection viewer to check which node is pointing to which aspect/connectivity server. That is where it is getting data from. Ideally, if you have affinity defined, few nodes point to primary aspect/connectivity server, and few to secondary node to achieve load balancing.
In your case, since you needed a manual startup, please verify below in your primary node
1) Open window services panel (services.msc),
2) Check if the service 'start up type' is mentioned as 'Automatic' for the 800xA type services? If not, you need to mention as 'Automatic' and they should run in the service account.
I hope this answers your question!
Can you please tell which services you need to reset manaully ?? normally after restart of primary or seconday servers services should come up automatically.
but in my experience sometime we have issue with file set distrubution, histroy or event you are facing the same problem ??
