Freelance 2016 SP1 crashes on Windows 10 pro
Freelance application crashes in Windows 10 Pro.
Have installed Freelance Engineering 2016 SP1 on pc running Windows 10 Pro and imported a file from Freelance 9.2. The file imports and I am able to save the PRO The program is crashing on startup of Freelance Engineering as the FDT is searching for instqalled DTM's the program closes itself.
I have installed the same Freelance Engineering 2016 SP1 on the same PC(32bit) but in a Win 7 Pro partition and imported the csv file from the 9.2 version no problem.
I did get an error message during from Visual C++ 2012 trying to find "Minimum Runtime 11.0.61030 vc_runtimeMinimum_x86.msi"
ANother PC running windows 10 had the Freelance 9.2 installed and had a problem accepting the DTMs so this appears to be something Windows 10 related.
Please help.
Kind regards,
Mikel Constantine

Hi,
there is a rollup 2016SP1RU2 available that should solve the issue.
Another difference between your Win7 and Win10 could be the setting of the Data Execution Protection. You can run "bcdedit" on the command line to show the settings for the different boot configurations. The attribute nx is expected to be OptIn on non-servers. Values OptOut or AlwaysOn can also cause an issue that looks similar.
Best regards
Jürgen
