Deleting Control Module Types
800xA 5.1 FP4
CBM 5.1.1-1
I am trying to clean up our site "custom" libraries and have run in to a problem with an error that says the type is in use. If I right click (in control builder) on the control module and select "type usage" it shows that there are no instances of the type. However, when I try to delete the object (from control builder or engineering workplace) it says the type is in use.
I can't find anywhere that the object is being used. Is there another way to search for type usage?

In Engineering WP, use the Find Tool.
Add Attribute, select Object Type.
Browse for your Control Module Type and mark it.
Leave the Name field empty, and press the Search button.
Have the object type libraries in use and the control application itself verified with the Consistency Check tool.
Don't hesitate to contact your regional ABB support center for assistance with resolving this problem.

Hi Zack
Control Builder can only search for Instances of the Control Module application code in the current project - it cannot search other projects and it cannot search graphics or the 800xA structures where other aspects of the control module may be used.
Since you only have one project on site its almost certainly a graphic element that has not been replaced in a process graphic somewhere or a graphic display that is still connected to the process overviews.
Right Click on the aspects and look for References.
