PM554ETH-eco: Ethernet configuration!
Me again, with the following problem:
I've got the PM554ETH running with ETHERNET under Automation Builder when on a "normal" Windows network - with a real Gateway address 192.168.0.1, valid DNS and valid DHCP within the development environment! What I need is a standalone configuration for the production environment - a PC connected via crossover cable directly to the PLC, no gateway, no DNS, no DHCP! Further on the PC will connect through a GPRS modem to the Internet to be available remotely. The PC - Win 8.1 x64 complains against gateway addr 0.0.0.0 and sets the IP to the automatic 169.254.109.61. Setting the PC ip to i.e. 192.168.0.13 with a gateway IP of 192.168.0.1 results to a login error although the PLC is ping'ed correctly! Any hint is appreciated!

The PLC does not need a Default gateway.
You do not need a crossover cable, most netwoork card can handle this.
But the PC need to have a fixed IP to connect to the PLC.
You might be able to place the PLC ip in an area that is close to the PC's which is from DHCP and then get an connection.
You can make an area in the router which is for DHCP and have an area for the fixed IP which is in the same network mask.
